

Tuesday/Thursday 6 pm to 10 pm AND every other Saturday 9 am to 4 pm
Students will come Tuesdays and Thursdays each week for lectures from 6 pm to 10 pm. Every other Saturday, starting May 8, students will meet for skills labs from 9 am to 4 pm. There are 14 available seats for this cohort.

The Paramedic Program is a Veterans Benefits Eligible Program at Wilson County ESD #3 Training Academy.

Field and Clinical rotations are done on non-class dates. Students must complete 100 hours of field experience and 24 hours of clinical experience.

Students learn online and attend Skills Labs in La Vernia, Texas to meet all course requirements. Skills Lab are mandatory and dates cannot be changed. Field experiences and clinicals are scheduled after successfully passing the second Skills Lab. Students must attend all 3 dates! Skills Labs start at 1 pm go until 5 pm, but can run longer if necessary.
Students are required to complete 108 ambulance field experience hours and 36 clinical experience hours.
ECA/EMR courses are online and upon completing the coursework, students are required to complete one 12-hour ride along on an ambulance at an approved affiliate location.

1) dark navy blue or black EMS pants
2) dark navy blue or black belts
3) and black pleather/leather boots.
This is not included in the price of tuition and is the student's responsibility to purchase on their own. There is not a certain brand that is required.
