Wilson County Emergency Services District #3 Training Academy (or WCESD#3 Training Academy for short) has been teaching EMR/ECA, EMT, and Advanced EMT classes for going on 10 years. We completed our first Paramedic Cohort in 2024, our second in 2025, and our third in June 2026.
We have a Paramedic Cohort scheduled to start April 1, 2027 with 14 spots available to those ready to advance their career!
We take pride in the educational opportunities we are able to provide to those wanting to start in the EMS profession, and those wanting to advance. We offer day and night classes for the EMT students throughout the year. Advanced EMT Students are able to participate in our online courses that are available to all those who are currently certified EMT's living in the state of Texas! We offer 6 AEMT classes a year, 6 EMT classes and 3 EMR/ECA classes in 2027, minimally.
WCESD #3 Training Academy strives to make course schedules that work for everyone. We also work hard to get the courses out in enough time for those interested to plan ahead as far as needed. Coordinating work, family, and/or life in general is not always easy and our hope is that with a year of schedules to choose from, you are able to find something that works for you!
We have affiliation agreements with several hospitals and ambulance services in Texas to accommodate students, their needs, and where they live. We are always willing to make the effort to obtain more affiliation agreements to help our students get the most out of their opportunities. We have agreement with entities in north, south, east, west, and central Texas.
As new class dates are offered, we will be posting that information for you to see and make your plans! If you have any questions at all, please reach out and ask! We are happy to answer your questions and we love feedback so we are able to make the program better with each course!
"The Wilson County ESD #3 Training Academy Paramedic program has been issued a Letter of Review by the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP). This letter is NOT a CAAHEP accreditation status, it is a status signifying that a program seeking initial accreditation has demonstrated sufficient compliance with the accreditation standards through the Letter of Review Self Study Report (LSSR) and other documentation. Letter of Review is recognized by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) for eligibility to take the National Registry's Paramedic credentialing examination(s). However, it is NOT a guarantee of eventual accreditation.
