Wilson County ESD #3 Training Academy 2025 Class schedule
Paramedic Course
July 1, 2025 - September 30, 2026
- July 1 - September 30, 2025 is the time students will complete the online prerequisite classes.
- October 1 - September 2026 is the time students will attend the in person class in La Vernia.
- Skills labs happen throughout the duration of the in-person portion of class.
- Total of 616 classroom hours (404 lecture, 212 lab).
- Students are required to complete a minimum of 240 hours on an ambulance, 144 hours doing hospital clinical rotations, and 120 hours doing their Capstone portion.
- Class times will primarily be 8 am to 12 pm. There will be a portion of the course where the time will change to 1 pm to 5 pm.

Students learn online and attend Skills Labs in La Vernia, Texas to meet all course requirements. Skills Lab are mandatory and dates cannot be changed. Field experiences are scheduled after completing the second Skills Lab. Students must attend all 3 dates!

EMT courses are all on a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule with one mandatory Saturday date required for skills practice and testing! Please notice there is a different start/end time for some of the courses. There are 20 available seats for each class.
ECA Courses

- June 1, 2025 - July 31, 2025
ECA courses are online and upon completing the coursework, students are required to do one 12-hour ride along at a 911 ambulance service.
